Who are we?
We first met in 2003 and we were married in 2005. Our paths crossed because we owned Mudis and we became instant friends even though we lived on opposite sides of the planet. Péter is Hungarian and Celeste is American. We currently live in Hungary, but we travel to the US as often as our lives allow. We are both members of the MEOE Magyar Mudi Klub (MMK) and the American Mudi Association (AMA). Péter is the former president of the Magyar Mudi Klub. Celeste has been the president of the AMA since September 1, 2004. Péter is a biologist/ethologist and works at the Eötvös Loránd University in Budapest, Hungary. He investigates dog behavior and dog-human communication.  His bark research using Mudi barks has become world famous. Celeste is a freelance writer and has published articles in Europe and the USA. Besides our love of Mudis, we are avid gardeners, castle ruin explorers, Hungarian folkart and shepherd gear collectors. Our Mudis accompany us almost everywhere we go. Besides each other, our Mudis are our best friends and companions and we owe much of the happiness in our lives to them.
(The background picture was taken at Nógrád Castle.)
Pictures from our wedding (August 12, 2005) at the Buda Reformed Church and at the Duna river, the Hungarian Parliament building is across the river from the church.  We wore traditional Hungarian apparel made especially for us.
This picture was taken in the city of Balassagyarmat (Hungary), in front of the Iván Nagy Museum. Dr. Dezső Fényes, who did the most for the Mudi's recognition, was the curator of this museum in the thirties and early forties.

Our kennel name means "drive away trouble into the twilight".  We love to watch sunsets and driving our troubles away is what our Mudis do for us and we hope for you too!

Here we are in Kecskemét (Hungary), September 2004. It is just after the Jubileum World Meeting and specialty show of the Hungarian Dog Breeds. Péter is holding the first puppy born in our kennel, Zsivány.
