Our Excursions - Hungary
We take our dogs with us almost everywhere.  We like to visit castles, fortresses and other ancient Hungarian sites.  We also go to fairs, festivals, markets, dog and human events and if it is appropriate and the weather nice, we take the Mudis with us.  First we were 2 with 2, then we were 2 with 3 and now we will be 2 with 4 Mudis as we have added a new Mudi to our family, little Jóság.  Soon we hope to add pictures of our adventures with her too!  Mudis are great companions!
Near our house are several great parks/forests for walks with wonderful views. There is an endless supply of sticks to fetch.
Most Mudis love water and ours certainly do.  We go to the Duna (Danube) river and a gravel pit lake regularly.  These trips are enthusiastically enjoyed by everyone, especially when we cook on the beach over an open fire.
In the fall of 2007 we took a trip to the wine making hills of Zemplén. They make a very famous wine there called Tokaji.  It can be made no where else in the world.
Our castle and fortress excursions are among our favorites and I think the Mudis enjoy them too.   The scenery is usually awesome as most castles are built on top of hills, but the views are especially beautiful in the fall.
