THE "ZB" LITTER
COI 4.8%
Date of birth: December 1, 2004
Nyírségfia Maci (sire) X Pásztor-Virtus Fecske (dam)
Maci is an ash/gray male, docked, with Mentes hip score (MKOE), 0/0 patellas; he is Herding Instinct Tested; his Temperament Test score was Very Good; he is a Multi-Champion in Hungary;
Maci carries yellow, ash(gray) and black; COI 23.6%

Eight puppies were born, 5 males and 3 females. One male and one female were ash (gray), the other six puppies were black. Four puppies are almost without any white markings, the other four have smaller chest patches, and/or some white toes. All of them had rear dewclaws which were removed by the vet. All puppies have normal length (long) tails, which of course we did not dock.
Gondűző-Alkonyat Zugivó- Beste (Closet Drinker Beasty) traveled to Wisconsin, USA. She was killed in October 2005. Our hearts and the hearts of her owners will be always broken when we think about her sudden, tragic and avoidable death.
Gondűző-Alkonyat Zenebona-Béla (Rucus Raiser Béla) was the last puppy who remained with us. He found his new home near to us, where his owners gave him the status of the ultimate pet. As a puppy, Béla had straight, short fur and a considerable sized white chest patch. By 6 months of age, for our biggest surprise, the chest patch was almost gone and his fur became nice and wavy. By the words of his owners Béla needs to run many miles every day and has a natural instinct to herd everything, dogs, cats, humans...
Gondűző-Alkonyat Zafír-Bogárka (Sapphire Beetle) "Safir"  is an ash (gray) female and went to the Czech Republic. Her owner, Barbara, is an agility trainer. She came several times to Hungary with Safir to herd sheep and also for dog shows. Safir has done the Magyar Mudi Klub's character test, the herding instinct test and participated in a herding competition in Hungary.  Barbara loves her, she thinks that Safir is a real "clown". In 2006 Safír passed successfully the herding instinct test in the Czech Republic, too. In 2006 Safir became Czech Junior Champion and in 2007 she became Czech Agility Champion and Czech Midi Class Agility Dog of the Year.  She had her first litter of pups with Csoki in March 2008.
Gondűző-Alkonyat Zúzmara-Báró (Frosty Baron) "Smokey"  is an ash/gray male, he went to Pennsylvania, USA, to live with Celeste's sister. Smokey is a beloved family member of Karen and Thomas. He is a ball fanatic and can do incredible leaps in the air for the ball. Smokey successfully conquered their bed, which is not a surprise, as he was always the "Room King" with us. In July 2005 he successfully passed the first portion of the herding instinct test in Virginia (AHBA). He was also a very successful demo-Mudi at the three AMA (American Mudi Association) seminars in the United States. In 2007 Smokey passed his CGC test with his owner!
Gondűző-Alkonyat Zenész-Bitang (Rascal Musician) found his new home in Sopron (Hungary). His new owner, Balázs who teaches at the College of  Forestry, takes him out on excursions. He introduces his students to the Mudi breed with his bitch, Póni, and now with Bitang, too. Bitang has a happy life also as a stud!  He was shown on the Magyar Mudi Klub's CAC show in 2005, where he was given "promiseful" as a result. Later in the year, he won the youth class on another show, and also won "Youth Club Champion"  in September.  As of 2008, he has sired two litters of beautiful puppies.  He is listed on our Recommended Studs page.
Gondűző-Alkonyat Zászlós-Buksi (Flagholder Buksi) went to a wonderful Hungarian family. Since then Buksi visited József Árkosi's farm multiple times and started to learn how to herd sheep. We noticed happily the striking similarity of Buksi and his mother - he inherited the elegant lines of Fecske. However he has heavier bone from his father which was one of the goals when we planned this mating.

Gondűző-Alkonyat Zarándok-Bundás (Furry Pilgrim) "Squiggy" went to Virginia, USA. Squiggy is the Mudi in the middle with his mother (right) and sister (left). We had the immense pleasure to meet with him and his sister (below) in June 2007 and their loving owner, Sonja.  Squiggy grew into an incredibly beautiful Mudi boy.
Gondűző-Alkonyat Zamatos-Bakfis (Teenage Girl) "Pippin" is a beautiful black girl that also went to live in Virginia, USA, together with her brother, Squiggy (above). Her owner, Sonja's mom and a lovely lady of 83 that still does triathalons, keeps her as a best companion. According to a favorable American custom with pet dogs, Pippin was spayed at 6 months of age. Her hips were x- rayed by the vet before the operation and he reported them as good.  She also grew up to be a beautiful Mudi!
