Gondűző-Alkonyat Mudi Puppy Application
We place a great deal of thought, time and effort to plan each litter, be present at the birth, and then to raise, feed and socialize each of our Mudi puppies. We are subsequently very concerned with their future lives as well and take great care in selecting their new homes. We strive to make each placement the best it can be so that both the owners and our beloved puppies have the greatest chances for compatibility and happiness in the many years ahead of them. We spend many hours of each day with our puppies and watch them carefully as each one develops its own unique personality. We try to match each puppy to the right home or family that will cherish and care for the puppy for its entire life. We also offer guidance and support to our owners for the entire life of their puppy and we will assist them to find a new home for their puppy should it become necessary.
We require all potential owners to fill out the puppy application below so that we can learn more about their individual situations and needs and are thereby better prepared to advise and place the puppy that fits into that situation and owners needs best. We hope that you will also ask us whatever questions you may have about our dogs, puppies and the Mudi breed as well.

Please note: We do not ask these questions to pry into your personal life. We do not require yes or no answers to specific questions to place a puppy in your care. We ask these questions for two reasons, the first reason is to help us to know your needs and home as well as we can to place the puppy that fits into your circumstances best, and the second is to make sure that you are fully aware of the responsibility of owning one of our puppies and the problems that can occur when you want to bring a puppy into your home and thereafter. We have had numerous situations occur that prevented puppies from going to their new homes and then required us to find a new home in a very short period of time. This is not good for a Mudi puppy which develops bonds early in life as it means it may stay with us longer than the best “window” of time to place them. We accept a limited number of reservations for puppies and this means we turn away possible homes and this is not fair to those that are surely able to have taken the puppy. We also do not want to have to re-home puppies that are no longer needed or wanted as this is very difficult for a Mudi and the humans involved too.
We want to limit problems with reservations and placement as much as is possible so that we have more time for the puppies and ourselves than issues that should not have to be dealt with in the first place. We had a puppy born and waiting to go to its new home only to find out that the “owner” needed to find an apartment that would allow them to keep a dog and they were not able to do so and we were never told of this need. We had a puppy not able to go to their planned home as the other adult in the house refused to allow it shortly before the puppy was ready to go. We have had puppies not be able to go home as the rules of importation are so strict that it makes it very difficult to get the puppy into their country in the best time frame. We have had people ask for their deposits back for reasons that were not our responsibility and not within our refund policy. We have had family’s breakup and the puppies not have homes – shortly after they arrived and then went through multiple homes thereafter. This is very unfair for any puppy and as a result we want every owner to search in their hearts if this is truly the best time to be bringing home another family member, as we consider our dogs and puppies to be family members and we want them to be treated as such by their new owners as well.
We ask these questions so that everyone is treated fairly, most of all the puppy, we want the placements to go as smoothly as possible and the puppy to be easily transferred to their new home as is best for the puppy and all the people involved. Our puppies’ best interest comes above all others.
Thank you for your understanding.
